With an Agricultural Science background, Philip has had a strong connection with the rural sector, originally joining the CFA as a volunteer fire fighter and then being recruited as career fire fighter. He has held operational, management, training and emergency management roles, retiring in 2016 after 40+ years’ service.
Philip joined Rotary in 1989 and has been Club Secretary, President, and has held chair or director positions in vocational service, club service, club administration and as RYE Student Councillor. He has also served District GSE Chair 2012/13, RLI Facilitator 2012-15 and Assistant Governor Group 9 2013-15.
